The fragrance of my childhood,
Hides in the folds of your embrace,
All your little sayings and strange little ways,
Yet nothing was too much for you,
You always found a way,
And nomatter what life threw at you,
Never once did you forget to pray.
You taught me to be humble, brave and kind,
To not look down on others because what if I go blind?,
I can not think of a day you ever let me down,
Instead my dearest mommy,
You were a queen and I was your crown.
So I want to take this moment,
To say these words to you,
Thank you mom for everything,
I am alive because of you.
You are my superhero,my comfort and my light,
You showed me how to stand up and never loose the fight.
I could not ask for better,
And I would not anyway,
Because my dearest mom,
I love you more each day.
