You’re so much older now
Wrinkles white hair and all
You were once giants to me
But now you seem so small.
You remember decades past
At least those you can recall
When people rode on horses
And times were harder overall.
You believe in Jesus because
Your parents believed it too
Now you want to convert me by
Saying His love for me is true.
Soon you may go to heaven
If you are right about that
And maybe there you will get
To sit where your Jesus sat.
I will miss you mom and dad
When you pass beyond this life
But I hope that we will meet
Again in a better after life.
