"Oh my God Rob, why? I can't do this, and I am not doing it," Trenti said firmly.
"I saw you," Rob said.
"What you mean you saw me?" He asked.
"I saw you in the window," Rob said.
"What you mean you saw me in a window?" He asked nervously.
"I saw you last week when you stole his money," Rob witnessed.
"Hold it... You saw me?" He asked.
"Yeah, I saw you take the money from his wallet and put it in your pockets," Rob said.
"I thought you told me you don't have to check on me, and your mother take over until I get here, so why are you spying on me?" He asked.
"I wasn't spying, I was just checking to see if things were okay, and I saw you go in that old man's wallet. I guess my pay isn't enough for you," Rob said.
"It's enough, but I was gonna pay him back, I just got greedy," he said leaving out the honest reason why he wanted the extra money to save up to buy Staci her birthday necklace. Trenti feels that all of this is his fault. This is a living nightmare he has never experienced. He has made a terrible mistake.
"Yeah I know, and that's why I say going to the cops or calling the ambulance is not a great idea because we would be known as suspects and we are the last ones to find Mr. Baker dead so we don't have any other choice but to bury him, and we go to school tomorrow acting like things are normal, and don't tell anyone about this, not our parents, classmates, friends, family, not anyone you got that?" He said firmly.
Trenti gets silent and scared.
"I SAID DO YOU GOT THAT? FREAK?" He asked in a loud demanding voice getting close to his face.
"Yeah," he agreed.
