Mala called Chris later that night. "Looks like you not up to finding your brother's killer are you?" He asked.
"No not now, not right now... I'm just gonna focus on getting that asshole English teacher out of there, and I hope he die in prison. If it wasn't up to my dad, I would could him," she said.
"Your dad is right babe, listen to him," he said firmly.
"Oh don't give me that Chris, I know if you were in the same situation you would go insane, and I know you would kill him," she said.
"I know, feeling rage, you don't think about the consequences, you just feel like getting revenge, I get it 100%, and I would do it, but the only thing that would stop me from wanting to kill someone out of revenge, is another person must have to convince me otherwise of reminding me what's gonna happen if I kill that person, just like your dad did for you," he explained.
"Touché," she said.
"Yeah, thanks," he said.
"I appreciate this small talk because I needed it tonight before I start praying before I go to sleep," she said.
"No prob babe," he said.
