The next day of school, Chris and his team is chatting and joking in the locker room. Ed is joking about girl's private areas and their behinds while coach Carter comes in.
"Christopher Walkins?" Coach Carter calls out.
"Yeah I'm here," Chris answers.
"May I have a word with you in my office?" Coach Carter asked.
"Okay," he said.
"Oooooh, you're in trooooublllle," Ed said, teasing Chris.
"Shut up dude," Chris said.
Chris goes inside coach Carter's office.
"Have a seat," coach Carter said, and gestures his hands out to the seat.
"I'm worried about you Chris," he said.
"Worried about me?" Chris asked, curiously.
"Yeah, you seem to be slacking," he said.
"I never slack," Chris said.
"Yeah but you're slacking now, and that's not good for the team," he informs.
"Come on coach, you know I'm the best player you got on the team right now," Chris confirms.
"Yeah I know, and today and yesturday, it seems like you're not getting your head in the game, you seem unfocused. May I ask is everything okay with you personally? If not, I can replace you as team capt..." He said.
"No, I can keep focused, don't worry coach, I will get it together," Chris said.
"Please do get it together," he demanded.
Chris leaves the office and thinks that he has so much work to do but can not seem to get it done. He never felt that way in his life, and he is worried himself.
