After they ate their delicious meal, they all cleaned up after themselves and washed their own dishes. They went back into the living room looking around the wide living room with so much space. Abe and the youngest boy Joseq went in the other rooms to observe, while the others stays in the living room. They are thinking about what they want to decorate.
"We can create the alpana design on the floor," the mother suggests.
"Please mommy lets use alpana decorations on every floor," Mala said.
"Geez, I don't see how the Americans do it," Trenti said.
"Do what dear?" the mother asked.
"The Americans keep their homes so plain and dull looking, American people has no taste in anything, they keep everything so plain and ordinary," Trenti said.
"Trenti, that's so racist," Mala said.
"Well Trenti does have a point, most Americans always keeps ordinary things in their homes rather they are rich or middle class, even when they purchase expensive goods the items look plain and most of the time it has no decorations or no type of stand out design on them, it is mostly one color on them," the mother agrees.
"That sounds so stereotypical mommy," Mala said.
"It's true dear," the mother said.
"I forgot, Mala doesn't watch American tv," Trenti said.
"That's tv Trenti," Mala said.
"But that's reality tv Mala?" Trenti asked.
"Reality tv isn't real, they go by the script, that's why it's so interesting," Mala inform.
"Really?" Trenti asked curiously.
"Yeah," Mala said.
"Okay you all, we will just decorate the floor today using rice and flour to make the motif pattern," the mother said.
Everyone nods their heads and start moving all the floor furniture into the dinning room so they can have a lot of room to set up their alpana materials.
"MOMMY, CAN THE FLOORS BE PINK ROSE DESIGN?" Martia asked.
"NO, WHAT ABOUT A DUCK ARTFORM WITH RAIN BOW COLORS? THAT'S WILL LOOK EVEN BETTER?" Trenti asked.
WAIT, hold on, how about the pink rose pattern can be in here, and the rest of everyone else's idea designs can be in all the other floor rooms?" She asked them.
"YESSS," Everyone yelled in excitement.
"I love that idea mommy," Martia said.
"Okay dear, let's all get started," she said.
