Always there the moon is.
Shining always, will never cease.
During the day, presence unknown.
At nightfall, presence made known.
Sun so powerful outshines its light.
Blackest night brings out its perfect light.
Only then we stop and stare.
Acknowledging the moon with a bit of care.
What a sight! Sometimes we say.
Watching the moon from where we lay.
