Moonlight Farewell

"Not yet" cried the moon

As you took your last breath

While the stars caught your soul

You gave all you had left.

My heart torn in pieces

Im getting harder to find.

Im getting Lost to the pain

I begin to hide in my mind.

Shutting down whats not needed

Keeping the minimal alive

This is what i must do now

Just to survive

In the quiet of the night,

Guiding me through shadows deep

I feel your presence, soft and light,

Though the world feels cold and gray,

And in the whispers of the wind
