Through one burning eye, I glimpsed at the coffee cup,
Looking dark when contrasted with the bright yellow light that shined from behind my newly drawn blinds.
I desired nothing more than to be left to lone, I replied to good morning with a muffled groan
Out! I barked at the shadowy figure who's face I couldn't quite make out, Standing above me and showing concern
Further fulfilling it's prophecy
With which I was unphased by totally
For any horrid myth would be easier to mouth, than any truth told with accuracy of any degree
Like the anticipated agony of chemicals defunct
Or the shattering of principles, you hold dear get debunked
It's information overload, what we're told, what we're sold, about anything and everything that no one knows about, but knows they cannot go without.
So as we grow old, what I say may be bold. Enough knowledge in this world, what we need more of right now is doubt.
