One day as I was waking up
While reading the morning news
This fighting over freedom of speach
Brought on the angry blues,
I have a problem a huge problem
When you want to kneel
I ask you if for another you'll die
Are you a phony or real?,
Are you ready to lock arms?
Ready to lock and load?
Are you ready to give your all?
Make clear freedoms road?
Can you survive
In a dark place?
Take a beat down
For a friend of another race?
Would you be willing to
Take a bullet from your enemy
So your brother and sister in arms
Could be with their family?
Can you think outside the box
Teach another to survive?
How to grow their own food
Give them a positive drive?
Do you know how to make
Your own "free" energy?
All the issues that you fight for
Are foolish and mean nought to me,
One morning as I was waking up
Reading the morning news
All this BS of who's right who's wrong
Brought on the bad news blues.
