Moth

Like a Moth I live in the darkness searching for the light.
Sometimes I fly too close and it singes my wings.
Sending me spiraling back down into the darkness.
Sometimes I'm stunned.
Dust myself off get it together and try again.
Sometimes the damned old light wins and I must rest.
But eventually I will heal and take flight.
Back to the light.
This life can try and singe my wings.
But beware of the Hell that I can bring.
I can be relentless and selfless like a swarm of bees.
My revenge will bring you to your knees.
Like a Moth I'm attracted to the flame.
I'm no stranger to the pain.
They call it a chemical imbalance in the brain.
They call it insane.
All I know is I feel forever changed.
It ain't over until it's over.
Until then I'll keep chasing that flame.
