A mother can be someone
Who really does care
Who will lift you on high
When troubled by despair,
A mother can be anyone
From birth, to aunt, to foster
A mother can even be
Your loving big sister,
A mother will nurture you
Try to from harm protect
Making you feel wanted
Shelter you from neglect,
When hard times hit
Your loving family
Your father, or big brother
May also a Mr Mom be,
A mother is like the Mum
That blooms in spring
The very sight of your mother
Can make your heart and soul sing,
So tell me in all honesty
Isn't having a loving mother
A precious and beautiful thing?
