MOTHERHOOD "The art of sacrificial living"

In a stream that flows with unending life,
A tree stands blessed with immortality.
Its leaves are concepts of many kinds,
Each petal soaked with mysteries
And sacrifices of motherhood.
Each season spent purchases moments of love,
Unveiling new traits to pass on to the next age.
In the heart of the jungle, a lioness draws her last breath
To paint a picture of comfort for her cub.
To his defense she gives away her senses of self-preservation,
And this she exchanges with a box of unending dangers,
In order to save the one she loves.
For she's the moon and the stars in his darkest days,
And in her resides the ability to become the beauty of his wary nights.
And this she makes judiciously the way of the jungle.
Oh dear mothers, to whom a system of preservation has been encrypted,
Passed on since the beginning of time,
The ability to incubate and become a womb of many potentials.
And of the joy of her creation, a perfect replication of her character and love.
She upholds the ancestral vow to protect and the oath to nurture,
Exposing her fragile heart to all forms of torture.
To the little hands learning how to grasp the way of life, she gives her finger of hope to hold,
And to the little stutters and giggles, she understands the words perfectly.
Sometimes she responds with her breast flowing with the stream of life,
And other times with a kiss that preserves the soul.
And someday she hopes to pass on the light of her heart to the world.
And in the night time, in order to complete the transition rites,
She takes her heart and places it in the forge of immortality,
And makes it into a gem inscribed with the concept to love.
And just like the beautiful star glowing with many colors,
She gives her heart to the light of motherhood and shines bright for all to see.
