Mother's love

Once a daughter
Felt her mother's love.
Very sweet,
Sometimes tough.
All in all,
She enjoyed it.
The tender love
And education.
The tender love
And dedication.
Now she was another,
A mother in the waiting.
She was curious
And afraid.
That motherhood,
Would raid.
A raid that would erase,
Her beautiful shape.
In this entanglement
She was pregnant.
Pregnant and afraid
But this was only temporary
A temporary antecedent
And hope was the only antidote.
