In this life where energy runs and flows,
I'm learning to detach, to let go,
Of things and people, I once held dear,
That slowly drain and instill fear.
My heart, once open, now discerns,
From those who exploit my concerns,
Emotionally reliant, I've been misled,
On those who saw where my vulnerability bled.
A lesson learned, a truth to face,
In acceptance, I find my grace,
Moving on, no backward glance,
In this intricate life's dance.
Sometimes closure should remain unseen,
A silent whisper in between,
Understanding dawns, stark and clear,
Not all desires can be near.
Let go, let tears freely flow,
In sorrow's river, emotions row,
Move on, despite the hurt, the pain,
For in every loss, there's a gain.
No matter the wound, no matter the cause,
Life's lessons are without a pause,
In letting go, I'll truly find,
The strength within, my heart and mind.
