We have moved apart, minds and souls,
But, were we close, I seriously doubt.
Else, you would've known my needs, my calls,
Like I've known yours, without your shout.
When did we move away, go so far?
Guess it was when 'ours' came in wailing,
You had someone but me to share your care.
I, hoping things would be back, smooth sailing.
But, priorities had changed, wouldn't mend,
Me you could dispense, that was God sent,
The ones, you could your thoughts spend.
It was my being stupid, thinking you'd call,
I had fooled myself that I was your all,
I was a commodity on which you could fall.
