I sit in silence,
thoughts running through my mind,
Where do i go from here,
How do i start over,
My hopes and dreams shattered in seconds.
It's hard to look at the future,
When your still stuck in the past,
One step at a time,
"Easy does it", they all say.
Everything takes time,
Even scars and wounds.
If life is suppose to be a blessing,
Why all this pain,
Can someone explain,
Why is it that play it as a game,
Playing with people's minds,
Shattered hearts bleeding with pain.
Life isn't as it seems to some,
Healing takes a while,
Pain takes its toll,
Moving on like a person lost on a lonely road,
Lost and nowhere to go except straight.
Follow the road,
Expect a few pot holes,
Experience comes with a cost,
Many know this to well,
Choice, chance, change.
Life comes with surprises,
Just follow your heart,
Follow your own path.
