We met about ten years ago
Neighbours in the same building
We became friends very quickly
We both enjoyed drinking and toking
You have moved around since then
And so have I relocated
We still stayed in touch
Our friendship never faded
We had a misunderstanding once
Months had passed so fast
No texting or calling between
But then we had forgiven at last
Friendships that last many years
Are ones not to take for granted
These ones stand the test of time
Far beyond our time on this planet
