Surrounded by Hostilities
From his immediate Family
Lost his mother Early
Loved by his Father Dearly
And with the help of God Almighty
Started seeing his future by Dreaming
In his dreams he was clouded in Glory
Shared this with his family Openly
Only to breed Jealousy
From his brothers who through Envy
Became his sworn Enemy
Yet he did everything with Zeal
Showed love to all and Sundry
To all problems he would be Attentive
And tried to always bring a Soothing Relief
His brothers were away at Shechem
His father asked him to go check on their Welfare
Getting to Shechem he met their Absence
But tarried and searched with Persistence
He later heard they were in Dothan
Right away to Dothan he ran Down
Seeing him from Afar
They decided to eliminate the Dreamer
But by divine Providence
His life was Spared
Sold for a few silver Coins
So Egypt he forcefully Went
Sold as slave to one Portiphar
One of the king of Egypt's Officers
Precisely the captain of the palace Guards
And was made the man's Servant
Yet with Hardwork
He was lifted Up
To the very Top
And became the leader of them All.
