We are a glass of water,
Sometimes murky
Our hearts tainted and sorrow filled
Someone came along dripped into us, and now we are filled
Filled with mud and dirt and grime
And it's been so long since we had room felt for the pure,
It's been so long since our hearts weren't tainted and filled
We've got to let other water drip into our glass
The murky will spill, and soon it will be gone
I know we don't want this, I know it will be hard
Every time the grime slips away,
It feels like you're losing another part of yourself all over again
But the other water will keep us safe
That murky water was never any good for us anyway
