Every chew toy we got you

And you did win in the end
You pulled my heart right out of my chest
I just didn't have a strong enough grip
When time took it's toll on us both
It hit me by surprise
When your age showed through your skin
When a white frothy mug
Coated your old man lil face
And we played til the very last of it
Til we both couldn't pick up the race
But who gives af
Bout aching joints and
Busted hips?
I told you you would be my bestest friend
And that commitment
Did not come with a dated end.
I was glad you had a good life.
You were one of the biggest factors
To give my life worth
It was me and you lil buddy...
I would not have traded the time spent
For anything else in the world.
I wish i could say,
"I'll see you again"
But one way or another
