Back in the day basketball was my remedy and sanctuary for anything
Shooting jumpers imagining game winners as clock goes ding
Workouts and eating right, running, watching your hero do fadeaway's
Watching his 2nd triple peat had me all in daze, shooting 3s till enday's
Hitting the park with crew and pickup games playing like something to prove
Wearing different players jerseys trying copy every move
Heating up talking trash to anyone it doesnt matter when your in the groove
Missing those days picking out shoes for playing a game
You played just for the love of it didn't matter we got any fame
For those some odd years of playing with brothers
I couldn't imagine having a better memories with any other's
