My Cousin Died Last Week

I just got an unexpected call from my aunt last Wednesday that my cousin Larry has died walking down a street late at night and he just dropped dead, and someone found him lying on the ground. That was so shocking, and I asked my aunt has he been affected by Covid-19? She said no, he had a heart attack. Even though in this picture we may look like we were close, but my cousin Larry was a distant cousin who I never saw often. But every time we got together, we would be close. We had a lot of greatest funny moments together. Everytime I saw Larry, he always used to say out loud because he had a loud voice, " HEY CUZZ, THAT'S MY TEMPTATION BUDDY RIGHT THERE," He used to say pointing. I was his Motown Temptation buddy. We used to dance to the Temptation's songs. He was fun to be around when he came around. He also taught me manners growing up I had wrote a poem called Manners this past summer. He used to say to me as a child when we sat on my grandmother's front porch,
"Girl, don't you have manners?
When you wear a dress, you never have yo legs open, you cross yo legs. Didn't yo mama teach you how to sit like a lady?" I  shook my head and said, "no." Larry sat there and glared at me. "That's unlady like. Always cross your legs. I'm shocked that yo mama never taught you that, she should start teaching you how to act and walk like a lady," he used to say. My family called him Larry, but his birth name was Lawrence E. Webb. He was 69 years old, he was the oldest cousin in the family. His funeral was yesterday, and his funeral was very sad, and we honored his memories. Even though Larry was my cousin, I saw him as a uncle that meant well. Some people say judging by his picture he looked well, but he had his struggles in his drinking addictions. What I know now about life is that how we spend our time on this earth is the best test of intelligence. I am writing this poem to honor him and his wonderful memories we shared. I love you cousin Larry, I will always keep you in my memories forever. I will never forget you, rest in peace in heaven cuz🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹
