My dearest Linsay..

I remember holding you in my arms,
As a baby, I would safely keep you from harm.
Every time I would look at you, I would see me.
The soft black hair and the charcoal dark eyes.
Your beautiful voice and sarcastic sighs.
Then when you were growing up into a little girl, you would keep me on my toes.
You were fast and energetic, but manipulation is what you grew to know.
You would cry when you didn't get your way.
But I found a way to make things okay.
I always knew deep down inside you were different, and I was right.
Found out down the road you have borderline personality disorder, you learned to fight.
Then growing up in your teen years,
Your moods were all.over the place, sometimes you brought me to tears.
And sometimes, you just needed my embrace.
You may have been a very hard child to raise but in the end it paid.
Because you were my baby girl, and I had to learn to be brave.
Growing up in your adult years things at first got worse then before.
Because now you weren't that 20 or 60 pound girl, you were 100 pounds of darkness fighting in your own war.
We went through many years of visiting doctors to help you.
They put you on meds that only made you worse, I was there to.
Now years of getting help, you finally found the right meds that make you sane.
At age 25, you can do almost anything, because the dark side of you, is being medicated on one side of your brain.
With therapy, taking your meds every day, and positivity in your life, things are great.
My daughter, my best friend, has finally found her fate.
