I remember the night we went boating in then calm lake
his gracious smile was one of a kind I bet
he was the nicest gentleman I had ever met
it was such a pleasant ride before it was time to wake
he told me he'll always be by my side if it ever comes to fight
even though , he just met me in the sleep
