I remember being pregnant with my first daughter oh so well.
The story will make you sad, the one I am about to tell.
I found out I was pregnant at age 26, which I was happy but confused at the same time.
Now it was time to grow up, and leave your party days, behind.
My first trimester went pretty good, I didn't have any sick days.
I was enjoying the pregnancy, I was definitely okay.
The 2nd trimester I found out I was carrying a baby girl, I was so happy inside.
This was my baby girl, these joyous feelings I could not hide.
My tummy was starting to show,
I wanted the whole world to know.
My boyfriend and I, could not wait,
Hopefully she is not the type to come out late.
Our two families were ecstatic with the news.
Names now we must choose.
From a book, that we looked into, three names caught our eyes.
Tiffany, Melanie and stephanie, so we must choose wise.
Then Tiffany is what we had chosen, we were happy with the name.
Life now is not a game.
The third trimester, went fast.
A few more pounds now, what a blast.
By the end of my pregnancy I had gained only 23 pounds.
I was showing all around.
I went from 118 lbs to 141 pounds.
Found out I was having a cesarian, because my little girl never turned.
They sent me to a specialist to try to turn her, but she would not budge, so more news, I have learned.
My doctor set me up an appointment to have a cesarian, so that is how I will meet my baby girl, I cried.
The day of my appointment, I was so nervous, that I won't lie.
They gave me an epidural but the doctors were on strike, so I had whoever was there.
5 needles in my bones,
It hurt so bad, i felt alone.
I just wanted to meet my little girl, that's all.
Everything went well with the delivery, but 24 hours later, a fever i had started, and my energy began to fall.
My boyfriend was very worried because they had no idea what was wrong with me.
They sent me from one test to another, and needle after needle, no answers they did see.
A few days past and they figured out that it was a blood infection that the epidural had given me.
The doctor must of used the same needle twice, bacteria to my blood, is what they agreed.
They make you sign papers so they are not responsible for their mistakes.
It was a sad situation, my life, was in their hands, a lot of hearts could break.
My boyfriend was yelling in their faces,
We trusted them with my life, and it was their mistake.
My little girl almost lost her mother.
One chaos after another.
After being in the hospital for 10 days.
I couldn't wait to go home, but at least I was okay.
The sad story at least had a happy ending.
This is a learning experience, I am sending.
For anyone who ever will go through this,
It's a scare, you won't miss.
Now today that little girl is 27 years old.
She's my world, that was my story, I had to unfold.
