My Funeral

If I fall before my time I hope you remember me, I hope You reminisce on good memories, I hope you look back and laugh at the times we may have had, I hope your Tears Don't Fall too much I hope you're not that sad, just be glad with the knowledge that I'm finally at peace, I lived long and accomplished many a feat, put my trophies high so others may see them, Share these words of hope So Others May believe them, I traveled in the dark always searching for the light always down played upon for being wrong never right, so if you're here today at my going home party, drink much live long and don't  let your words of love come late and tardy, we all have our endatte that only God knows, and the life that we live presently only matters by the love and testimony we chose to show, so welcome to my funeral please have a seat, greet one Another so that you too may meet, sign the book with your name big so from Heaven I can read it, because I'm not sure how many are coming if more than two arrive I wouldn't believe it, but then I've always been a doubter a naysayer of myself, never truly valued my personal wealth, So I hope that when the time comes that I'm gone, others will acknowledge the days I stayed  and broadcast this song, I hope they say he lived he loved he played hard each day, loyalty honor dedication and a lasting impression willl stay, say those words think these thoughts, acknowledge my goals and dreams after which I sought, And remember it was for love that I have fought, with death comes life with life comes death, live, die fall get up and try we sleep and wake up fresh, what we take for granted in life is a gift, and once the day is started We are consumed with each other so much we miss, so if your here today thank you it's not fair well or goodbye, it's only an acknowledgement of a passing on to a better life, a release from lifes chains the freedom to fly im safe from strife,,  be mad be glad be sad be happy, but whatever you do I hope you clap for me, I hope you give me my applause that I never did receive, and I hope you keep to yourself your negativity, even in my death i want to feel words of positivity, And if your love was never real though im gone stay far away from me, in life I only wanted A tender kiss of love, in life when I was sad I only wanted the warm body present maybe even a hug, I craved to be accepted but lived this neglected, now this is not happened yet and it's still yet to be, I'm still alive and breathing but nightmares and pain still terrorize me, and as I write this poem some may say I'm wrong, but if you died tomorrow wouldn't you want something left behind for others to be impressed upon, so I hope I impressed you with these words with my talent, I hope I impress you with the Life I Lived of wildness because I was never stagnant,i hope I impressed you by my tattoos  piercings and things out of.normality, yes my life was different but i worked hard to live it happily, and I'm not a fortune teller but I'd say a broken heart will be my fatality, a heart the never got to be blessed, A heart that loved so many in world meant to test, a world meant 2 put your self first instead of next, so many of us lived a life being selfish instead of selfless, and find ourselves growing looking back at what we worked for and finding out we still have less, you may gain today but lose tomorrow, you may be happy one second the next filled with sorrow, you may be succesfull acknowledged like none other, get content that you have it all and then in one day you lose your mother or brother, what you do is your choice, my poetry that I write is my voice, so if your here today when you leave let me hear from Heaven your noise, and if in hell let me hear your feet stomping and moving, Don't live thinking that you're winning to fade away knowing that you're losing, you don't have to impress the next, just live your life a leader of your own unlike the rest,Live like you were dying in  you're very last moments, acknowledge your purpose every mistake you need to own it, I am Joshua, Joshua Allen Patton, the name I was birthed with it I lived my life to my fullest I made everything I possibly could happen so I'm smiling I'm happy im finally at peace, now you live your life just remember i lived too please..
