I hate to open up
I'm afraid once I do you'll pack up and leave
So I keep my head down, back-up, and grieve
See I never told you before you left town
Remember I told you I had to knock something down
I hate feeling vulnerable
But I know without you I'll be miserable
The memories I have with you are more than just memorable
Everything was simple and I was comfortable
And to picture a life without you isn't tolerable
I'd love to forget you but it's not probable...
I can't explain how when I'm thinking of you
It feels like you do the same thing too
Hit me up with a hey and what's next
This horrible feeling deep in my chest
Those memories were the best
My heart only aches it never rest...
Walls are knocked down now
I'm in that vulnerable place
And I can't even look you in your pretty face
But you're staring with flawless grace
I wanna yell I hate this place
Its hard to embrace
And think about all the memories I try to displace but still can't erase
And no matter the case no one can replace
Guess I'm done now cover up my trace
Time to throw them walls back up and lock the door just in case...
