from Psyche’s light
Puts my rapturous
dream to flight
Her presence wakes
me from my sleep
Like fragrant Daphne
in forest deep
But as the shadows
turn to light
What once was felt
escapes my sight
Euphrosyne’s laughter
now receding
Haunting witness to
a spectral meeting
My faerie gone
I know not where
As Algea dance to
my great despair
But on the morrow
she shall return
And I to Aion’s trap repair…
