My life is a circus

By Simeon Austin David Pangu
My life's a circus, people come,
To see the sights, to hear the drums,
They buy their tickets, take their seats,
And watch the show with eager beats.

But when the final act is done,
They leave as quickly as they come,
And I'm alone, beneath the lights,
Feeling lost in endless nights.

I've learned the tricks, I've learned the trade,
I've played my part, I've played it well,
But still the emptiness remains,
And I'm trapped inside a lonely cell.

I yearn for someone to hold my hand,
And share my life, and understand,
But all that comes is endless crowds,
And not a soul to call my own.

So I'll keep performing, day by day,
In hopes that someday, someone will stay,
And bring some meaning to my life,
In this circus that's filled with strife.
