My little maiden
Thou art beautiful as the rose
Thy small bright diamond eyes
Sparkles like the morning star
Thy face is as bright as the moon
In the evening skies
Shall I compare thee to the seasons
Thou art the rain that bringeth joy
To the thirsty ground
Thou art the one that causeth the heart
That loveth not any woman to love
Thou art beautiful, my queen
Like as the wind that bringeth rain blowest
So does my heart hastens to tthee
Draw ye not back
For my love bids thee welcome
Draw ye nigh my queen
So I can touch thy smooth dark coloured skin
Smile ye to me
So I can behold thy pebble teeth.
