Loneliness is a weight upon my soul,
It wraps around me
And chills my body with its cold.
The silence echoes in my ears,
My mind full of all my fears.
The absence of another's touch,
Leaves an ache that hurts so much.
The days stretch on in endless time,
As I search for something
a flicker of light,
To bring me back out of the night.
Loneliness is a prison of the mind,
A place where hope is hard to find.
