my lover

In the vast expanse of time and space,
Our love persists with relentless grace.
Through the hurdles and the trials we face,
We stand united, defying any trace.
No matter how many blades may stand,
Or how treacherous the path at hand,
I will traverse them all, brave and strong,
For in your arms, where I belong.
High upon the mountaintop she resides,
An ethereal Queen, in beauty she presides,
And I, a mere mortal, seek her there,
To breathe in heaven's scent and banish despair.
Having roamed the Earth, loveless and lost,
Enduring desert days and nights tempest-tossed,
I found solace and purpose in her eyes,
A flame that extinguished all my cries.
With desperate longing, I seek her touch,
Like a drowning man yearns for air, so much,
Like a flame burns for fuel, bright and hot,
Like a river flows towards its destined spot.
As morning rays pierce the roof's frail weave,
Relief washes over me, a reprieve,
In the warming embrace of the African sun,
Driving away the chill that had begun.
My humble straw hut, my cherished abode,
Not built of bricks, but love's eternal code,
It shelters me, protects me from the storm,
A sanctuary, a place where I am reborn.
In each drop of sweat and every sunbeam,
I find joy and gratitude, a gleam
Of the constant change life has in store,
But I long for more time, forevermore.
For my love for you, it may seem strange,
But it is constant, an eternal range,
I pray that as we both grow and evolve,
Our love remains steadfast, our problems resolved.
So, I brave the blades, the shattered glass,
To reach my love and make the moments last,
With each step, my heart beats loud and clear,
Guided by love, not by worldly fear.
Ten thousand blades stand between us now,
But love will prevail, it will somehow,
For in the face of adversity, we find strength,
In the depths of our love, a bond we'll lengthen.
My Queen, atop the mountain so high,
I climb towards you, with every try,
To inhale heaven's scent, traverse hell's breath,
For our love knows no deaths.
