My Marks

I want the raindrops to start falling upon me,
to cover these marks that I have placed upon my flesh.
Forgive, me for I couldn't stop as I sat here thinking of you.
These marks I have cut deep within my flesh I have done so to forget all those times.
Those times you placed a tear within my eye.
This mark is to remind me of the time you shouted at me you were sick of me.
Then expected me to love you the same as if those words were never said.
Oh, my Darling don't you know my heart doesn't operate that way.
You've shattered that precious piece years ago.
I'm just now piecing that fragile part together, hopefully I'll be able to piece it together this time with no leaks.
I have so many more marks, placed here and there.
All with a different story I could to tell
Each mark has taken me down a path,
that taught me a lesson.
These lessons were often on myself,
Showing the sacrifices I made for myself for others.
I say no more,
I'm gluing this heart of mine with the Almighty glue of Forgiveness, as He forgave me for me for my sins.
I forgave myself for the abuse, it was on them not me.
I was the child they were the adult, not the other way around.
Not my fault, I FORGIVE myself,
picking up those fragile pieces and gluing them together with the Grace of the Almighty.
I want the raindrops to start falling upon me,
to cover these marks that I have placed upon my flesh.
