our paths have cross not to part
for the love that is done
cannot be undone
for trapped in the memory of the bliss we shared
I stand certain of a journey unending
even in the
silence of your whispers
i can still hear the echoes
of your love reverberating and quaking me to wakefulness
I standing sentinel at the gateway
filled with triumph
in the darkness
that envelopes all
and swallows that which we shared
i can still see your
love as it were a
blazing meteorite
illumining my way
like a swarm of a million fireflies
entrapped in the heart of the sahara
bereaved of company and life
your love rises
like a fresh oasis
satiating my thirst
as i scribble your name
on the scorching sand dune
our desert turns green
pulsating with life
there is a bouquet of hope
mocking hopelessness
for you are my silhouette of splendour i love to remember
even tossed by
the winds
of uncertainty
i am yet certain of the certainty of your love
lips crested with smiles
of victory
for up there in the sunlit sky
I yet make out the yolk of the crescent moon
silhouetted
deflowering the setting dusk
