The tears you see streaming down my face is of agony,
of the things out of my reach.
The snuffling sounds that escapes out of my room in the dead of the night is that of suppressed sobbing,
of the things I wish I had.
The gentle whispers are of my supplication to the creator,
as I ask for help and strength.
The pain fills my heart like a mist,
for opportunities lost because of my voicelessness
For my irrelevance on life's ladder
For lack of what the world believes to be the qualification for being heard.
That's is why I run the race of life with such tenacity,
running fiercely to reach the top.
I run with the weight of many on my shoulders,
I run for those that suffer the same fate as mine.
I run hard so that when I finally reach the top
I'd not only help them up,
but I'll prove to many that they could fight their way through too,
that while the world shuts us up and out,
we could run and rise,
prove that we deserve to be heard
and teach the world to listen to all not treating any as unworthy.
