From the beginning I was trying not to let you go, as I held you in my arms, you smiled at me, and I saw you glow.
It was then that I would love you so much, I vowed to protect you from any harm, but I knew you'd grow up so fast, and the infant I knew would no longer last.
Yes I get mad at you, when you misbehave, but I love you too much to remain upset. I want to be there for every day, and moment, and the times we share will be in my heart forever.
I won't be around forever, but as long as I'm here, you can count on me to be your friend, dad, and protector.
