My Shakespeare

I have come to know in this small world
That words without actions are a common thing.
That hateful speech rips through tattered skin
But words of light does pure joy bring.
I have come to believe in this small world
That love is indeed an overrated notion.
It is simply a word whispered in the night,
A word entirely devoid of love's emotion.
I promised myself that into that trap I'd never fall,
For it would be a foolish thing for me to do.
At least I truly believed in that intelligent thought
Until life introduced me to the likes of you.
When we first met I clung to that one belief,
The belief that love was indeed for the naive.
That if into love I foolishly ended up to fall,
For my belief I shall truly grieve.
But what choice did you possibly give me
When in that night those words you spoke?
What choice did I possibly have in my possession
When in me that emotion once again awoke?
For it has come to my undevided attention
That your words were that of sweet poetry.
The very words that encapture my soul,
The words which have for so long defined me.
With every second that blissfully passes me by
As I speak my heart's language back to you,
I fall deeper into what words cannot describe;
For love is just a word that my emotion outgrew.
But there is one more thing for me to say.
There is one more thing I have to do.
I need to tell you now, so it's clear as day,
That Shakespeare, my Shakespeare:
I truly love you.
