🌻 My sunflowers
" I gave them my loyalty...
One piece at a time
Until there was nothing left of me "
I love sunflowers.
I have a garden full of them.
Every day before duty,
I go there—
pluck one,
and take it with me.
I’m counting them, quietly.
But they never last.
By the time I return,
they’ve already withered.
So I keep them—
the dead ones—
in a jar at home.
And the next day,
I pluck another fresh one.
Soon,
my co-workers knew me
for my sunflowers.
But they never saw
how quickly they died.
Day by day,
my garden faded.
Until…
only two flowers remained.
The girl who once brought
sunflowers to work
stopped.
Because there were no more
to give.
So I carried the withered ones instead—
the ones I kept in a jar.
Now,
they look at me differently.
They don’t like me anymore.
But I don’t mind.
Because I hate myself more…
for bringing fresh flowers
in the first place.
This is not about flowers.
