I'm lost and confused
There's darkness everywhere

They scare me
Forcing me to continue

Ringing and pounding
My thoughts are eating me
My senses are vanishing
Sightless, scentless, emotionless
I've lost everything
My senses, my emotions, and myself
Now I'm nothing more than a shell
A shell that continues on this path
Surrounded by shadows
Shadows dance and envelope me
Numbing my shell of a body
"Where, What, Who am I?"
The ringing won't stop
It's getting louder

The ringing... stopped
Silence...bliss
I missed this
My thoughts are gone
There's still darkness
The path still seemingly endless
My senses still numb
But my mind is clearer
I keep walking
Darkness behind me
Darkness on my left and right
But in front... there's something else
Is that light?
It's dim but hopeful
It's giving my body life
I'm running now
As I get closer and closer
My body gets livelier
My thoughts become clearer
And the light gets brighter
My senses are back
My emotions relieved
And my heart is healed
The light is almost blinding
I stop
The path ends here
It's a door?
Do I open it?
I ponder what to do
I look back... darkness
Do I go back to that?
It's all I ever knew
No... I can't
It's the past now
I have to keep going
I need to escape the darkness
I open the door
Blinded by the light
What's there?
It's... It's you
I spent all that time in darkness
And you were what kept me going
You were the light I needed and wanted
You're the brightest star in the darkness
Your smile, your laugh, yourself
Warms my heart and clears my mind
When I'm around you I forget everything
All the pain, suffering and loneliness
You brighten my day
You are my light
The light that illuminates my darkness
