oh proud itesot I am,
my melanin makes me bask with passion,
our cool huts barred us from noise outside,
"Ajon" our soft drink, for unity it has maintained,
respect my cultural norms impact in me,
knowledge I attained at fire places,
reasoning and lessons I learnt from stories told,
my tribe, my identity
children are for the clan, not only the family,
family ties we uphold and treasure,
blessed is our teso land, dry and wet season we have,
values flow in our veins,
jolly we are, my tribe, my passion, my belonging.
