"Baby, he takes a while doing everything, just wait out here for em, he will be out, " she said.
"Okay, " Gregg said.
She walked back to the door in second thought. "You know what, I can tell you boys are respectful so come on in and wait for em, " she said.
"Thanks ma'am, " Gregg said, while walking inside.
They lived in a spotless house with old furniture, but everything was extremely clean and neat. The living room was small and the couches were wrapped in plastic. In the center was a rectangle glass table with Jet megazines and a candy bowl on top.
"Y'all sit on over there on the comforter, and y'all are welcome for some candy if y'all want, " she said, pointing.
They waited a little longer than 10 minutes. Damen walked out of his room wearing a white beater shirt and black shorts, and all white Nike gym shoes. He wore a black 2pac bandana around his head.
"Yo man, what do y'all won't?" Why y'all here?" Damen asked.
"You disconnected yo phone, " Gregg said.
"I gotta new one shorty, " he said.
"Why you snitched on us man? " Gregg asked.
"Snitch? What the hell y'all talkin bout?" He asked.
"You told 5.0 what we did, and got us all in jail man, " Gregg said.
"I gave them facts man, they was targeting me, what else I was supposed to do?" He asked.
"I thought brothas don't snitch on each other in the hood?" Gregg asked.
Damen became silent and hesitant for a moment.
"Well y'all lil niggas ain't from the hood, y'all don't even belong here, " he said.
"Where D'Angelo and Maron at man? We know you got em somewhere, where they at?" Gregg asked.
"Yo man, I don't know where they at, y'all told me to scare they asses off and I did, " Damen said.
"We gave you that money for nothing man," Gregg said, trembling his head.
"I completed y'all mission niggas, " Damen said.
"Come on Damen, please tell us where they are, all is we wanna know, " Timothy said, being concerned.
"LIKE…" Damen tried not to get loud out of respect for his mother's home. "Like I told y'all, I don't know where they is, the last time I scared them off, they was in the alley around the school, that's the honest truth, I put that on my daddy's grave, " he said.
"You don't know where they at?" Timothy asked.
"No I don't, I'm being honest with y'all, " Damen said.
"Okay, I guess we will try to look for em around the school then, " Timothy said.
"I wish y'all hope on that, " Damen said.
"Thanks man, " Gregg said, standing up and gives Damen a hand shake while leaving out.
"Something is not right about this, I think he lying, " Gregg said, walking down the stairs.
"Yeah I felt that too, he hiding something," Anthony said.
"He got em somewhere, and we not go give up, " Gregg said, being confident.
