Mystery Boys Chapter 90

Anthony's prints are clear and they drove him back to his home. The next house they are going to is Jeremiah's house. When they arrive there, Jeremiah's father lets them in.
"Can we help y'all detectives? Wait, this is about Timothy right?" Mrs. Miller asked.
"Yes, we are still searching for him, and we need to speak to your son?" Michael asked.
"I'm sorry but Jeremiah is out of town, he don't live here anymore," she informs.
"OUT OF TOWN WHAT?" Michael yells.
"He teaches at Yale University in New York, he's been gone for three years now," she informs.
"Why didn't Gregg and Anthony tell us about Jeremiah going out of state, how could they keep that away from us? We need to question him and we need to test him for prints," he said.
"Well, Jeremiah is a quiet and a shy man, he always been that way ever since he was a child, and he told his friends that he was going to leave this state because he couldn't take the pain losing a friend, and he told us to don't tell the police or nobody that he's gone," she said.
"DON'T TELL ANYONE? AND KEEP THIS A SECRET FROM LAW IN ENFORCEMENT? ..." Getting cut off.
"Michael? Please? Calm down..." Tiffany said, getting cut off as well.
"NO, THAT'S SOMETHING YOU DON'T KEEP FROM US, WE NEED HIM BROUGHT BACK HERE, YOU GET ON THAT GODDAMN PHONE AND CALL HIM, AND TELL HIM TO COME BACK TO THIS CITY," he said, shouting in anger.
"MICHAEL THAT'S ENOUGH! Excuse me ma'am. Michael, I need to have a word with you in private," she said, as they both ambles outside to the porch.
"What?" He whispers.
"You need to keep it together, I can report you and tell your boss to take you off this case. You are taking this case very personally," Tiffany said.
"You can't do that, you don't even work for us anymore, you're just volunteering," he said.
"Even though I work in a different department now, I can be very honest with your boss in my involvement in this case, and tell him how I witnessed your misbehavior in this case. Now I understand you and that missing boy Timothy was close to why you are taking this personally, but you can not let your emotions get the best of you in this case. I want to find him as much as you do, now if you want to continue this case Michael, you have to stay calm and act like a real detective, and don't show any emotions in this case," she informs.
"I gotcha, it's just tough, I miss that boy everyday, even though he's not a kid anymore, he's a grown man, but I will always see him as my little buddy of mine," he said, tilting his head down in shame.
"I understand Michael, now let's solve this together, we can solve this, you have made it this far, don't give up now, come on, let's go back in there," she said, encouraging him.
"We are very sorry about that," Tiffany said.
"I know I understand, Jeremiah told us how close you and Timothy were, and you saved his life from those gang boys in the past, so we understand your concern too," Mrs. Miller said.
"Yeah thank you, and I apologize for the outburst, I feel like such an idiot for doing that," he said.
"You're not an idiot, and we understand, so don't worry," Mrs. Miller said.
"We still need to see Jeremiah to clear him," Tiffany said.
"Okay, I will give him a call tomorrow morning, so he can come down," Mrs. Miller said.
"Thank you, and have a goodnight," Tiffany said, walking towards the door.
"You too, take care of yourselves," Mrs. Miller said, letting them out, and closed the door.
"While we wait for Jeremiah, we need to interview the last friend, Mike Moore tomorrow as well," Michael said, ambling to his car.
