The next morning, Gregg calls Michael and informs him about Jeremiah that Damen Pryor had confessed to him what really happened. Michael was appalled by the whole story.
"I have to bring him in again," Michael said.
"His mama said he left the city, he won't be coming back..." Gregg said, while getting interrupted.
"LEFT THE CITY? HE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO LEAVE IN A MIDDLE OF AN INVESTIGATION? Even though I checked him for prints, he was cleared, but he still was not supposed to leave town until the investigation is over completely, " Michael informed, getting angry.
"Aw damn, that nigga in trouble now," he said.
"I gotta stop him," Michael said.
"His mama said she was go call me today soon I hope," he said.
"I will call her, you stay put," Michael said.
"Ight man," he said, hanging up.
