needle and thread

Boy or girl my parents smirk, mockery lacing the seams of each letter with care and with every fallen word, i trembled, a wave of of fear washing over me, unhinging every suppressed emotion with it.
I have so much left to say, i could feel my words drowning in the pit of my stomach the surface so close and yet so far,
my breathing hitched and it was over, they have taken their thread and have sewn the seams of my lips. they stole the one thing i had,
my voice.
