Never again will anyone hurt me
the way I've already been hurt.
Never again will anyone make me feel insecure
or treat me like I'm nothing but dirt.
Never again will I be bullied,
put down or called bad names.
Never again will anyone manipulate me
or mess my mind up with their games.
Never again will I wear a mask.
Never again will I fake a smile.
Never again will anyone make me feel
like the world is my judge and my life is on trial.
Never again will I be broken down,
beaten emotionally to the point of giving in.
Always hoping for their best but fearing their worst,
praying to God to forgive them their sin.
No, I don't need any of them.
All those fake people with their pathetic lies.
Never again will I be that person
that's never good enough no matter how hard she tries.
From this day forward I will stand tall
and never again hang my head in shame,
for God is our only judge and jury
and he loves us all the same.
