My heart was in distress
and my soul was in pain
My mind couldn't think
and my body was weak
There was nothing else left to live for
and there was nothing more I could lose
Then my soul sings and my spirit shout
and with every breath I cried out to the Lord
He heard my cry and pain
He saw my grief and wounds
and he found pity on my soul
The Lord sent his never ending rain
to wash away my pain
He put his word in my mouth and my
soul rejoiced with my heart and mind
His love surrounded me and all the pains
got washed away. Now I am alive
I am strong and healthy and there's something to live for. His songs filled my heart and I never want to see it leave.
