When loneliness and daily life were what I unwillingly despised
When party rights and innocent participation were activities I denied
I found you there, tongue tangled and yet kept an appeal of one who wasn't surprised
Dry mouth, parched vocal chords, leveled up odds of misfortune is what I defied
Words didn't fail me, and it was then when it introduced the streak of heartbreak's demise
When I discovered the terrors within a future referred to as bright
I thought of the riches which wouldn't bring comfort on the coldest nights
Foresaw portraits of finely sculptured warriors, with an inability to shield against inhumane fights
Foresaw friends with an undisclosed loyalty, limited to not rectifying I when I am not right
Words corrected my ways, when I saw the flair igniting hearts on her pearly white light
Words believed in me, they did beyond what I thought was beyond my might
