The miniature heart that collects dust in the corner of the room
has been forgotten, erased and
blamed
I thought that after all this time
some part of you would be true and real
yet still i find myself pulled under water, straining to breathe
ignorant to this life we cannot cheat
you alone possess the trap too set
on a road of pain and sorrow
not knowing if there is a tomorrow
the signs were all there
your delicate words could hurt so much
but if the poison hadn't worked itself through
I know I could always count on you to put me down
with life's colorful reasons
and dreadful seasons
it seems so foul and out of place
I know because it's scarred upon your face....
