As a child I never thought I'd get old
Never thought I'd travel across the U.S.
I always dreamt of having a fast car
Write sweet words people would want to read

I could reach a dream
I could reach for the farthest star at night
With with words bring that star down hold
In my hands
That I could capture the world around me
With others the world as I see it
Even spark life into one fallen down
Reaching inside so they want smile back.
